What was the highlight of Hôtel & Spa Vatel Nîmes
Very welcoming, and the hotel restaurant is full of French people - what more needs to be said!
This is a hotel staffed mostly by young persons being trained to become hotelliers and restrateurs. Quite charming, not always perfect, but nowhere is even with highly experienced staff. Free parking, seafood evening on Fridays, and relatively inexpensive. Delightful front desk. Very close to the motorway if you’re looking for a one or two night stopover.
Location can be hard to find and traffic is heavy at peak times, but the hotel itself is modern and very quiet. If you’re looking to enjoy evenings walking to local cafes and restaurants, then this is not the place, but for what you save on room price there’s always a taxi or an uber.

VERY NICE AND BIG ROOM, QUITE AREA AND CLOSE TO BUS STOP
POOL WAS CLOSED DUE TO MAINTENANCE (MAINTENANCE SUPPOSED TO BE DONE BEFORE THE SEASON)

Airconditioning did not function. Room was very warm. Hotel is a bit outdated and needs an update.
